Storm to Face Cleveland State in Exhibition Game

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College Storm will face Cleveland State in an Exhibition game tomorrow night.

The Storm opened their season on the road this past Sunday with a 68-57 win over Wayne St. Ashley West led the Storm with a double-double, recording 14 points and 10 rebounds. Farrah Benner and Breanna Bauer added 14 points each.

Tomorrow evening marks the seventh trip for the Storm to face the Vikings. Last season, the Vikings won 65-42 over Lake Erie. Cleveland State holds a 6-0 series lead.

The Vikings enter tomorrow night with a 1-2 record. They opened their season with a 113-81 win over Salem, but fell 69-63 to Eastern Michigan and 67-62 to Ball State.

Through Cleveland State's first three games, Savanna Crockett (Fr.) has averaged 31 minutes played, 11 points per game, and leads the team in rebounds per game with 9.3. She recorded a double-double against Ball State with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

This will be Head Coach Brook Kohlheim's first matchup against Cleveland State as the head of the Storm Women's Basketball program. "We are excited for the opportunity to challenge ourselves against some D1 competition right here in town," said Coach Kohlheim. "I think there are plenty of take-aways from our win at Wayne State that we are looking to challenge ourselves with, part of that is consistency with our energy and effort. Cleveland State is going to test us in ways that we haven't seen yet this year, so I am very excited to see how we will respond."

The game is set to tip-off at 7pm tomorrow evening at the Wolstein Center, and live statistics and video are available by clicking the links provided and on our website.
