Storm Concludes Season With Senior Night (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will conclude the 2016-17 season with the season finale against the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Thursday (Feb. 23) night. The Storm will host the Panthers on Senior Night.

The Storm will honor three seniors for the program prior to the game: Brianna Shagovac (Amherst, Ohio / Amherst Steele), Daija Jones (Cleveland, Ohio / St. Joseph Academy) and Kallie Allen (Fowlerville, Mich. / Fowlerville).

Storm Report: The Storm is 8-17 overall with a 6-13 GLIAC record following an 88-68 loss to Hillsdale last week. Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) led the Storm with 18 points and two steals. Josie Chaddock (Minerva, Ohio / Minerva) scored a career-high 17 points while Daija Jones scored ten points. Gabor leads the GLIAC with 19.0 points per game and could finish the season as the GLIAC's leading scorer.

Opposition Position: Ohio Dominican enters the regular season finale with a 17-9 overall record and 12-7 GLIAC mark. The Panthers defeated Hillsdale in their last game. Lauren Bates is the leading scorer for the Panthers, averaging 12.2 points per game.

Series History: The Storm fell to the Panthers 83-50 last month in the first matchup of the season. Kayla Gabor led the Storm with ten points. In the overall series, the Storm has a 6-9 record against Ohio Dominican.
