Storm To Face Vikings in Exhibition (Preview)


PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will travel to downtown Cleveland for an exhibition matchup with the Cleveland State Vikings on Sunday (Nov. 27). 

Sunday's game will feature free admission at the Wolstein Center. 

Storm Report: Lake Erie is 2-3 after an 89-71 loss to Ursuline College on Tuesday. Kayla Gabor tied a career-high with 27 points while Christine Dawson added a career-high 23.  

Series History: The Storm has made the trip downtown to face the Vikings five times in program history. Cleveland State has a perfect 5-0 record against the Storm. Lake Erie fell 64-45 last season as Kayla Gabor scored 13 points, a team-high.

Opposition Position: Cleveland State is 1-3 this season after an 67-49 loss to Niagara in their last game. The Vikings' leading scorer is Ashanti Abshaw, who averages 16.0 points a game.

Storm Forecast: The Storm will open GLIAC play on the road with a roadtrip to Wayne State and Saginaw Valley State. The Storm will face the Warriors on Thursday (Dec. 1).
