Storm Ready to Run at Mount Union Tune Up (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College track and field team will be in action Saturday (Feb. 17) when they travel to compete in the Mount Union Tune Up.

Head Coach Giles Davis said, "This is the final meet before the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.   We will be resting a majority of the team while the others will compete in hopes of improving their ranking at the conference meet and stay competition ready."

Storm Report:  The Storm is coming off of a record setting performance at the Tiffin Dragon Invitational last weekend.  The men were led by Evan Loughman (Sheridan, Ohio / Sheridan) as he set a school record in the shot put as he threw a distance of 14.85 meters or 48 feet 8.25 inches.  The women were led by Johanna Moeller (Bochum, Germany / Schiller-Schule Gymnasium Furjungen Und Madchen) as she took second place in the long jump clearing a distance of 5.31 meters or 17 feet five inches.

Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the track Saturday (Feb. 24) when they travel to compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
