ALLENDALE, Mich. – The 2014 NCAA-II National Championship meet got underway on Thursday. Competing on day one for the Lake Erie men was senior Ethan Snyder.
Snyder missed out on qualifying for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles by a third-of-a-second. The Salesville, Ohio, native clocked in with a time of 52.60 seconds, which place him 11th. A time of 52.32 placed eighth and qualified for the championship in the 400 hurdles.
Snyder closes out his Storm career as a four-time NCAA-II All-American.
The national meet will continue on Friday. The 2014 championship will award NCAA Division II national champions in 42 events and include team champions for both the men's and women's side. The Lake Erie men earned Lake Erie's all-time best finish in a national championship when they placed ninth at this year's indoor nationals in March.
