BAREA, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College track and field team shined at the Sparky Adams Invitational held April 18-19 at Baldwin Wallace University, winning several events.
Shavon Thompson finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.91 seconds while Andre Husain took fourth in the event. Andrew Kemer took the runner-up spot in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.54 seconds. Vincent Horning finished fourth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:42.31.
Jamil Dudley captured the high jump with a leap of 2.20 meters. Joe Postwaite took second in the event with a personal best of 2.15 meters to become the second high jumper at Lake Erie to clear the seven foot mark and currently sits fourth in the country.
Tanner Graybeal took fourth in the pole vault at a height of 3.85 meters.
Douglas Moorer won the discus at a distance of 51.10 meters. The throw is an automatic qualifying mark that is the 16th best throw in the country this season. Sean Stone took third in the hammer throw with a provisional mark of 54.62 meters.
Alexandria Gagne took fourth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 11:55.52 to set a new Lake Erie best.
Destiny Prusky captured the title in the high jump at a height of 1.65 meters. In addition to helping the Storm take second in the 4x100, Lee won the triple jump with a leap of 11.49 meters, more than three feet ahead of the second place finisher.
Kady Held took fourth in the discus at a distance of 40.85 meters.
