Games May Have Been Postponed, but Storm Stays Put in NCAA Statistical Rankings

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (April 7, 2009) - The NCAA Division II Softball team and individual statistical rankings were posted for the third time this season and although the Storm has had every game postponed between the last rankings and the newest ones posted today, freshman Megan Foley (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) remains among the leaders in three different categories, unofficially. Due to Lake Erie's reclassification to DII this season, Lake Erie may only be listed at the bottom of the rankings for those categories where the team or players would be among the leaders.

Foley is sixth in on base percentage at .562, 29th in batting average at .456 (26-for-57) and 37th in slugging percentage at .772.

As a team, Lake Erie ranks tied for eighth place in double plays per game with an average of 0.48 - which is 11 double plays in 23 games.

The next statistical rankings are scheduled to be posted on Tuesday, April 14.
