PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College men's soccer team will conclude the 2017 season with a home matchup on Tuesday (Oct. 24) afternoon with the Daemen College Wildcats at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. The season finale will begin at 1:00 PM.
"We want to end the season on a high note," said Storm head coach Louie Rolko. "We have had some ups and downs, and survived through all kinds of adversity. However, tomorrow is an opportunity to put it all together one last time and to see how much we have grown over the past 2 and half months. It's a great chance to leave our seniors with a lasting memory of the last time they stepped on the field for LEC."
Storm Report: The Storm enter the final game of the campaign with a 4-12 overall record. Lake Erie finished the Great Midwest conference schedule with a 3-11 recorrd after a 3-0 defeat at Cedarville on Saturday (Oct. 21). Javier Borreguero (Nigran, Spain / Los Sauces School) and Ezekiel Ebenezer (Columbia, Md. / Long Reach) each have six goals scores this season, tied for the team lead.
Opposition Position: The Wildcats travel to Painesville with a 6-10 overall record this season. Daemen is coming off of a 4-1 loss to the University of the District of Columbia in their last contest. Noah Keem is the Wildcats' leading scorer with seven goals and 18 points this season.
Series History: The Storm and the Wildcats have not faced off on the soccer pitch before.
