PAINESVILLE, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College men's soccer team cracked the NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings this week, coming in at number six.
This marks the first time that the Storm has been in the NCAA Regional Poll. They have been in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Midwest Regional Rankings for the past couple weeks.
The Storm finished the 2014 season with their best record to date, 11-4-2.
This past week, the Storm continued to build upon their impressive winning streak, bringing it up to eight games with wins over Alderson Broaddus University and Ohio Dominican University on the road. On Wednesday, (Oct. 29), the Storm won their final nonconference game of the season against the Battlers, 3-1. On Friday (Oct. 31), the Storm picked up an impressive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest on the road, upending Ohio Dominican University 6-0.
The Storm is back in action Friday (Nov. 7) when they face Northwood University in the GLIAC semifinals.
