PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The 12th ranked Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team will be in action Friday (March 30) when they host Maryville, with the game set to start at 7 p.m.
Storm Report: The Storm is 5-1 overall and riding a five game winning streak. The Storm is coming off a 13-4 win over the University of Indianapolis. Head Coach Steve Gartelman said, "We will be prepared mentally 100%. Physically it will be a challenge with one day to recover, after playing two tough games on a short week. We will do all we can to get our legs back underneath us as a team so that we can play the game we like to."
Opposition Position: The Saints are 5-8 overall and are coming off a win over Shorter University. Coach Gartelman added, "For a young team they have some talent and they are playing well as a team. They seem to have good chemistry right now, and they have versatile midfielder who can make plays in many types of ways.
Coach Gartelman concluded, "This will be a great experience for both of us, I believe Coach Shafer is doing a great job and I am excited for this opportunity. We will certainly know one another well on the field and are very close off the field. However, on Friday we both accept the fact there are no friends throughout the game so we will compete towards earning a win."
Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Tuesday (April 3) when they host Davis and Elkins with the game set to start at 12 p.m.
