PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The 17th ranked Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team will be in action Saturday (March 24) when they travel to take on the sixth ranked Mercyhurst Lakers, with the game set to start at 3 p.m.
Storm Report: The 17th ranked Storm is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action. The Storm is coming off a record setting win over Alderson Broaddus. Head Coach Steve Gartelman said, "Top 20 rankings or not, this is a game that is always intense and generates excitement. With that said we are very excited to take on another conference rival."
Opposition Position: The sixth ranked Lakers are 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action, and are coming off a win over Davis and Elkins. Coach Gartelman added, "Mercyhurst has a great defense, and knows how to control the tempo with it. We will have to run hard, play the game on the move, while keeping our composure through the whole game."
Coach Gartelman concluded, "It will take a complete game to win at Mercyhurst. It's always a wild environment and a close game. If we play a clean and complete game, where we execute well in all areas, we can earn the win."
Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the field Wednesday (March 28) when they travel to take on the University of Indianapolis, with the game set to start at 4 p.m.
