PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team will be in action Saturday (April 8) when they host 11th ranked Seton Hill at 7 p.m.
Storm Report: The Storm is 5-4 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play. The Storm is coming off a pair of wins over the weekend against Alderson-Broaddus and Davis and Elkins. Head Coach Steve Gartelman said "Excitement level is high but no higher than we try to maintain for each game, especially in conference, but this is a strong team that we are very eager to compete against".
Opposition Position: The Griffins are ranked 11th nationally and are 5-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Seton Hill has won their past two games most recently defeating Roberts Wesleyan. Coach Gartelman said "Seton Hill is talented and unique in how they play on both sides of the ball. The match up proves challenging but we think our schemes line up well with their style".
Coach Gartelman added "It will take ground balls to win this game. Each possession earned will be important, if we can earn extra possessions with ground balls across the field and be efficient with them we have the best chance of winning".
Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (April 15) when they travel to take on Wheeling Jesuit with the game set to start at 1 p.m.
