Storm Reaches Top-5 in National Rankings

Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Poll

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team reached new heights in the national rankings released Monday (March 2).

In the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) polls, the Storm comes in at number five.  In the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine rankings, the Storm is ranked fourth.

The Storm is off to a 2-0 start this season.  In their season opener at home against Roberts Wesleyan College, the Storm picked up a 13-6 win.  They followed up the win with an upset at then second-ranked Le Moyne College, 7-6.  The loss for Le Moyne marked their first loss at home in a non-conference game since the 2001 season. 

For their efforts in the two wins, Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney), Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary) earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Weekly Honors.
