Storm Hosts Walsh on Senior Day (PREVIEW)

STORM HOSTS WALSH UNIVERSITY ON SENIOR DAY: The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team looks for its eighth straight win as they host ECAC foe Walsh University on Senior Day in Painesville.

SENIOR HONORS: Prior to Friday's game, the Storm will honor its even senior players: Adam Bakular, Rashad Brown, Louis Eron, Macgregor Johnston, Will MulcahyAndrew Stockton and Trevor Tarte

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm downed Roberts Wesleyan University Wednesday (April 16) 14-1.  Macgregor Johnston led the Storm with six points on three goals, three assists.  Trevor Tarte tallied five points on four goals, one assist.  Austin Bishop and Ryan Jurek had two goals, one assist each while Reagan Harding had one goal, one assist.  Matthew Redmond and Will Mulcahy had one goal apiece and Adam Bakular and Mitchell Shafer assisted on goals.  Justin Goodwin caused six turnovers and grabbed nine groundballs.  In net, Tom Lipomi did not allow a goal in 51 minutes, making 10 saves.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Cavaliers enter the game with a 3-6 record.  In their most recent outing, Walsh defeated Franciscan University 20-3.  Mason Axline leads the team with 19 points while Alex Hudgens has a team-high 13 goals.  Dylan Ciolino has made 61 saves.

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm leads the overall series 3-0.  Last season, Trevor Tarte scored five goals to lead the Storm to a 16-7 victory in North Canton.

STORM REPORT: Reagan Harding leads the Storm with 36 points on 23 goals, 13 assists. Trevor Tarte has netted a team-high 26 goals. Freshman Austin Bishop has 18 goals while Ryan Jurek and Mitchell Shafer have 17 and 15 each.  Macgregor Johnston has a team-high 14 assists while Shafer has 11.  Defensively, Justin Goodwin leads the Storm with 67 groundballs.  Adam Bakular and Justin Goodwin have combined to cause 38 turnovers. Rashad Brown has won 57% (113-of-198) of his faceoffs and is second on the team with 41 groundballs. Nicholas Simonetti has made 68 saves in net.

FORECAST: The Storm wrap-up the regular season on the road against ECAC rival Mercyhurst University next Saturday (April 26).
