GREENSBURG, Pa.--  The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team won its fifth straight game in dramatic fashion Sunday (April 6), defeating seventh-ranked Seton Hill University 18-13 on the road in a pivotal Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) match-up.

The Storm's win marked their first regular season victory over the Griffins and second overall win in a row.  The victory also sets the Storm atop the ECAC standings.

Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney) led the Storm with six points on four goals, two assists.

Seton Hill struck first on a man-up opportunity less than two minutes in before the Storm went on a rampage.  Macgregor Johnston (Naniamo, B.C./Dover Bay) scored the first goal of the game for the Storm to tie it at one.  Austin Bishop (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) followed it up with a goal a minute later to give the Storm their first lead. Four minutes later, Trevor Tarte (Amhertsburg, Ont./Kiski Prep) scored on a man-up opportunity off a pass from Johnston. Ryan Jurek (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) increased the Storm lead 5-1 and then assisted on a goal by Tarte to complete the Storm's 6-0 run.  The Griffins added two goals late in the first quarter.

Johnston scored the first goal of the second quarter, starting am exchange of goals.  After a Griffin goal, Harding and Andrew Stockton (Medford, N.Y./Patchooque-Medford) netted goals but each were matched by Seton Hill.  After the Griffins cut the lead to 9-7, Mitchell Shafer (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) scored, assisted by defenseman Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary), to give the Storm a 10-7 advantage at the half.

Trailing 10-7 to start the third, Seton Hill went on a 5-0 run to gain a 12-10 advantage.  Bishop broke up the run with his second goal, assisted by Johnston, and Harding scored his third to tie the game heading into the final frame.

Seton Hill regained the lead with the first goal of the fourth, but it would be the last time they nette a goal in the game.  Stockton scored his second goal, assisted by Harding, on a man-up opportunity to tie the game.  Stockton's goal sparked a 6-0 to close the game for the Storm.  Tarte, Harding, Jurek, Bishop and Stockton notched goals in the final seven minutes to complete the Storm's come-from-behind victory.

Jurek also tallied six points in the game, scoring two and assisting on four.  Johnston had four points with a pair of goals and assists.  Bishop, Stockton and Tarte had three goals each.  Goodwin and Shafer had one point each.  Goodwin also led the Storm with eight groundballs.

Rashad Brown (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport/Genesee CC/Mars Hill) went 17-of-31 (54.8%) on faceoffs, picking up seven groundballs.

Nicholas Simonetti (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome/Queens) picked up the win in net.  He and Tom Lipomi (Hamburg, N.Y/Hamburg) split time in the cage, making a combined 11 saves.

The Storm is back in action next Saturday as they head on the road for an ECAC contest against Lindenwood University.
