CENTERVILLE, Mass.— Lake Erie College men's lacrosse defenseman Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster) was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Week for his performances in wins over 13th-ranked Wheeling Jesuit University and Belmont Abbey College.
Goodwin, a junior, helped to lead the Storm defense to their two wins last week. In a 15-8 win over Wheeling Jesuit last Wednesday (March 26), Goodwin collected 14 groundballs and caused three turnovers. In addition to his defensive play, Goodwin netted a goal. In the 12-8 victory over Belmont Abbey Saturday (March 29), Goodwin picked up seven groundballs and caused two turnovers. For the week, Goodwin tallied 21 groundballs, caused five turnovers and registered a point on a goal.
Junior midfielder Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll. For the week, Harding tallied eight points on five goals and three assists. Against Wheeling, Harding scored two goals and assisted on one more and scored three goals and assisted on two against Belmont Abbey.
The Storm returns to action Sunday (April 6) for an away trip against Seton Hill University.
