Storm Head to Pfeiffer For Regional Contest (PREVIEW)

STORM LOOK TO SNAP LOSING STREAK: The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team is looking to rebound from an 0-2 start when they travel to Pfeiffer University Saturday (March 14) for a south region match-up.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell in its first two games of the season last weekend.  Against Florida Southern College, the Storm fell behind 9-1 in the first quarter before nearly coming back over the last three quarters.  The seventh-ranked University of Tampa pulled ahead early and held off the Storm offense.

STORM SCOUT: Junior Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney) leads the Storm with eight points on six goals and two assists.  Sophomores Ryan Jurek (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) and Mitchell Shafer (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) have tallied a trio of goals and one assist apiece.  Freshman Austin Bishop (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) leads LEC with eight groundballs. Nicholas Simonetti (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome/Queens) leads the Storm goaltenders with 20 saves.  The Storm has been efficient on man-up opportunities, converting seven-of-11 attempts. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Falcons enter the game with a 4-1 record.  In their most recent outing, Pfeiffer topped the Dominican University of California 21-13.  Their lone loss on the season came at second-ranked Mercyhurst University.  Tucker Hammock leads the Falcons offense with 20 goals and seven assists while Khalid Stukes has picked up 27 groundballs.  Hayden Kirk will man the net for Pfeiffer, making 47 saves in the first five games.

SERIES HISTORY: Peiffer leads the overall series, 2-1.  In their most recent meeting in 2012, the Storm won 11-8.

NEXT UP: The Storm hosts Ohio Valley University Wednesday (March 19) for their first home and ECAC game of the year.
