The Lake Erie College men's golf team competed in the Fall G-MAC Previews on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17 at the Pearl Club located in Owensboro, Kentucky. The tournament was 36 holes on a tough course. The Pearl Club is a par 72, and consists of 6,925 yardage total.
On day one, freshman Jarrod Teeter shot an 82, shooting par on ten holes and landing in 49th place overall.
The second day of the tournament, Teeter shot an 81. He not only parred nine holes, but his performance improved on 11 holes in comparison to the opening round of the tournament, including a birdie on the 14th hole.
"This tournament was another good experience for Jarrod on a tough golf course.", said head coach Brody Harwell. "He didn't hit the ball the way he would have liked but he will continue to work hard in practice and get better each day.".
Teeter will finish up his fall season of collegiate golf at the Kyle Ryman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Tiffin University on October 6-October 8. The tournament is 54 holes, and will be a good test for the freshman before heading into the offseason.
