Storm Wrap Up Final NCAA Regional

PAINESVILLE, OHIO- The Lake Erie College men's golf team completed the final round of the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, posting a two-day score of 671 at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.

The total was good for 25th of 25 teams at the par 72 course.

Leading the Storm's effort was senior Frank Whites III (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) with a two-day score of 79-86-165, tying for 89th place.  Coming in behind Whites in a tie for 97th were junior Mike Guarino (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) and senior Matt Hennessey (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon).  Guarino posted 82-86-168 and Hennessey 81-87-168.

Sophomore Tyler Walters (Middlefield, Ohio/Cardinal) posted the team's best day two round, finishing at 87-83-170.  Junior Troy Hunter (Aurora, Ohio/Crestwood) rounded out the Storm's effort with 88-87-175.

Lake Erie will be back in action Apr. 21-22 at the Ashland Spring Invitational at the Country Club of Ashland.
