PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will be in action Tuesday (Dec. 19) when they travel to take on Kentucky Wesleyan, with the game set to tip at 4:15 p.m.
Storm Report: The Storm is 8-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Lake Erie enters the game on a five game winning streak, most recently defeating Davis and Elkins. Head Coach Kyle Conley said, "Winning five games in a row shows that our young team is growing and learning how to win at this level. We understand that the season is long and to reach our program goals for the season we must stay focused on our daily improvement."
Opposition Position: The Panthers are 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference, and are coming off a win over Bluefield State. Coach Conley added, "Kentucky Wesleyan has been the dominant team in the Great Midwest since its inception. Every year their roster is as talented as any in the country. This year is no different, as we must be prepared to defend extremely talented guys at every position."
Coach Conley concluded, "We've made progress in eliminating self-inflicted mistakes on offense in our last couple games. To beat the Panthers we must value the basketball and compete on the defensive boards every possession."
Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (Dec. 30) when they host Trevecca Nazarene, with the game set to tip at 1 p.m.
