LAKE ERIE LOOKS FOR VICTORY IN CROSS-DIVISONAL MATCHUP: Lake Erie College (7-7, 2-5 GLIAC) looks for a key victory as it hosts GLIAC North foe Lake Superior State Thursday.  The Storm had won four of five games going into last week when they lost to Findlay in overtime Thursday, 67-64, and to Tiffin Saturday, 71-66.

LAST TIME OUT: Visiting Tiffin University erased a nine-point deficit early in the second period and then held Lake Erie without a point for over a four-minute stretch in crunch time to hand the Storm a stunning 71-66 setback. Senior guard Brandon Smith led the Storm with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds. He also helped out with four assists.  Sophomore Tom Parker scored 11 and sophomore center Rich Austin finished with 10 for the Storm, which dropped its second straight.

SERIES NOTES: Lake Erie met Lake Superior State for the first time in school history last season.  The Storm fell to the Lakers, 62-57, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich on Jan. 20.

CLOSING IN ON 100: With seven victories already this season, Lake Erie Head Coach Cliff Hunt is just four wins away from the 100-win plateau with a 96-81 career record in his seventh season with the Storm. He is already the all-time winningest coach in school history.

STORM SWIPING IT: This season, the Storm has averaged 9.1 steals per game, which leads the conference.  Sophomore guards Riley Thomas and Nate Tait lead Lake Erie with 20 steals as seven players have at least 10 swipes.

OPPOSITION POSITION: Lake Superior State (7-8, 2-6 GLIAC) has lost two straight games and seven of its last nine after starting the season 5-1.  The Lakers have three players averaging at least 12.4 ppg. led by guard Kyle Hunt at 15.5 ppg.

A LOOK AHEAD: Lake Erie wraps up a four-game homestand Saturday when it hosts Saginaw Valley State at 3:00 p.m.  The game will be the second of two Youth Days hosted by the Storm this season with free admission to those ages 12 and under.
