PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College and Fifth-Third Bank are teaming up for the annual NCAA Basketball Take A Kid to the Game® day, hosting a special event for area youngsters Saturday, Jan. 29 when the Storm takes on Wayne State University in a men's and women's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on campus at the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic & Wellness Center. Area youth 12-and-under are invited to experience the college gameday atmosphere and action with a FREE ticket when accompanied by an adult with a full-priced ticket.
The Storm men tip-off against the Warriors at 1 p.m., with the women's game to follow around three o'clock. Both games will have carried live on www.LakeErieStorm.com.
"We are excited to host a youth-focused gameday at the Osborne Center this season," said Lake Erie Director of Athletics Griz Zimmermann. "We hope the community will embrace this event and bring children out to experience a collegiate athletic event on our campus, while cheering on the Storm."
The first 75 youngsters will receive a complimentary gift pack, courtesy of Fifth-Third Bank and the Lake Erie Department of Athletics. Fans will then have an opportunity to meet Storm players and coaches during an autograph session after each game.
