STORM LOOKS TO SNAP STREAK: Lake Erie will try to snap a six-game losing streak on Wednesday (Dec. 29) when they take the short drive to South Euclid, Ohio to take on the Univeristy of Windsor (Ont.) Lancers. Prior to the slide, Lake Erie had won seven of eight games dating back to last season. The Storm are 2-2 in non-conference play this season and are 2-0 against non-NCAA Division II opponents with wins over NAIA schools Wilberforce and Northwestern Ohio. Last time out, Lake Erie fell to Northwood at home, 82-77.
OPPONENT OUTLOOK: The University of Windsor is 7-1 thus far this season and sit atop the Ontario University Athletics West division. Off for holiday break for over a month, Windsor has not played since Nov. 27 when they defeated RMC Paladins, 112-68. Host Notre Dame College enters the tournament 4-8 while Ohio-State Mansfield was 0-14 as of 12/14 including a 157-57 loss to West Virginia Tech on 12/12.
SERIES HISTORY: Lake Erie has never faced Windsor or Ohio State-Mansfield before. The Storm has split four meetings with Notre Dame, the last of which was a 97-71 Falcons win in December 2003.
GOING FOR 1,000: To date, senior guard Ethan Bradshaw has accumulated 960 career points. Bradshaw is just 40 points shy of becoming the 12th player in Lake Erie's 1,000-point club after graduated teammate Darnell Campbell reached the mark last season.
