(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The penultimate game of the season will see Lake Erie head to the capital to take on its most familiar opponent in Ohio Dominican on Saturday afternoon. It will be the 11th meeting in the series between the two who have squared off every year since 2009.
Every game since 2010 has been a result of conference scheduling as it was Lake Erie's first season in the GLIAC. The Storm won the contest that year 30-15, their lone victory in the series.
This will also serve as the G-MAC finale for the Storm as the regular season finale will be in non-conference action.
There will be a lot to watch for during this week's game as it features many of the G-MAC's top talents. Both offenses have been effective this year, and the Storm are hoping for another impressive showing. The Green and White features the G-MAC's No. 2 passing attack with 270.4 yards per game and leads the league in passing defense with 183.3 yards per game.
Nate Dantley Jr. has had an incredible rookie campaign with 87.3 yards per game through the air, second most in the conference. His 5.6 receptions are good for fourth as well. Josh Hufstetler has also been impressive with eight touchdowns caught this year.
Justin Growel continues to be a force on the line as he is second in the nation with 19 tackles for loss. He's tied for second in the G-MAC with 7.5 sacks.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with coverage available on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
