    After a stellar performance in the home opener against Davenport on Saturday, Justin Growel (RS-Jr., East Troy, Wisc. / East Troy) has been named the G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week. His efforts helped Lake Erie stay in the game as he led the defense to a shutout of the Panthers in the second half, the second consecutive week the defense accomplished the feat against its opponent.
  • Storm Comes Up Short In Final Seconds

    Another second half comeback attempt fell just short as Lake Erie was defeated by Davenport 13-9 in a defensive affair Saturday afternoon. The Storm (0-2) drove down the field in the final seconds, but the Panthers (1-0) were able to keep them out of the end zone as time expired.

    The Lake Erie Storm will make their home debut Saturday afternoon when they entertain Davenport University in regional competition. The Green and White enter the contest at 0-1 after a narrow defeat at Mercyhurst last week, while the Panthers are playing their first game of the season.

    The Lake Erie College football team has added an 11th game this season and will take on Taylor (Ind.) to fill its schedule. The Storm will travel to Upland, Indiana, on Saturday, Oct. 19, for the non-conference contest. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

    The Reilly Murphy Era is about to begin for Lake Erie Football as the Storm are just over two months from kicking off the 2019 season. It will be the first year at the helm for Murphy who made his way to northeast Ohio from Fayetteville State in December.
  • Football Announces Summer Camp Dates

    Lake Erie Football has announced three one-day summer camps in mid-June for high school students, prep school and junior college athletes, and high school teams looking for 7-on-7 competition. Two will be held at Jack Britt Stadium with another taking place in Cincinnati.

    Lake Erie football student-athletes teamed up with the Cleveland Browns to help give back to the community today as part of the First and Ten Movement today. Storm players Ibrahim Kanu, Anthony Ruffin, Elems Ukwu Jr., and Joshua Villas-Delgado, helped out the Browns with their #Give10 campaign by assisting with their Special Olympics Play 60 program at their official practice facility.
  • 30 for 30: Coach Murphy Inks Strong First Class

    A Storm Warning is in effect for football fans in Northeast Ohio as Lake Erie College has inked 30 student-athletes for Head Coach Reilly Murphy’s first class. The Class of 2019 is comprised of 22 recruits and one transfer that call Ohio home. The remaining seven are also regional standouts that hail from the Detroit, Erie, and Pittsburgh metro areas.
