2012: Emerged as a leader on defense and started all 11 games at middle linebacker as a third-year sophomore... set a school, single-season record with 99 total tackles, including 35 solo stops... included in his tackle total were three sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss... also forced a fumble... had five games with 10-or-more tackles, including a season and career-high 14 at Notre Dame Oct. 6... had 13 tackles against Ferris State Sept. 8, 11 against both Findlay (Oct. 20) and Walsh (Oct. 27) and 10 in the season finale at Tiffin Nov. 10... also had a sack in the game against Walsh... posted seven or more tackles in four other games... led team in tackles four times.
2011: Played in nine games, making five starts at linebacker as a redshirt freshman... finished the season with 39 total tackles, including 16 solo, and had 2.5 tackles for losses... made a then career-high nine tackles twice, vs. Grand Valley State on 10/15/11 and in the season-ending win over Ashland on 11/12/11... also had three games with at least four tackles.
2010: Earned a varsity redshirt as a true freshman, but was a member of the travel squad for every road contest.
PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a four-year performer at Roosevelt High School… served as a team captain and received both first-team all-district and honorable mention All-Ohio recognition… helped team to Portage Trail Conference title in 2008.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 12, 1991… plans to major in sports management… parents are Dave and Sue Rogers… older brother David is a junior tight end at Youngstown State.
