PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College football coaching staff will hold its first “Coaches Clinic” for youth, high school and college coaches on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 9 a.m. on-campus at theRitchie Athletic Training Complex.
The clinic will provide opportunities to learn about the plays, schemes, techniques and drills used by Head Coach Mark McNellie and the Storm staff. There will be three sessions during the day for attendees to learn about the offensive and defensive philosophies of the Storm coaches, as well as see strength and conditioning techniques and demonstrations. There will also be informative “Q&A” sessions for participants.
“We are trying to take a unique approach to this clinic,” said McNellie. “By offering three different sessions, coaches will be able to choose if they want to attend an offensive, defensive or weight room talk and have the freedom to mold the schedule based on what they are interested in learning about. And our coaches who serve as speakers will provide as much insight and information as they can.
Cost to attend the clinic is $10, payable at the door. At the conclusion of the clinic, attendees are invited to attend that evening's spring football practice at Chardon High School.
