INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced conference honors for the week of Feb. 25, and for the first time this season a Storm baseball player has been honored.
Senior right-hand pitcher David Lemasters was named G-MAC pitcher of the week for his lights-out outing against Lock Haven University this past weekend (Friday, Feb. 22). Lemasters faced 24 batters through six innings of work, in which he gave up one earned run on six hits and struck 14 batters out in his first win of the 2019 season.
Head coach of the Storm baseball team Ray Skjold is proud of his senior pitcher, "This is a well earned recognition for Dave. He pitched a phenomenal game for us on Friday."
Through 10.2 innings pitched, the ace of the Storm pitching staff boasts 17 total strikeouts and an ERA of 1.69.
The Storm returns to play in March when they head to Urbana for a three game series.
