PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Three-sport standout at Conneaut High School, playing baseball, basketball and football... was Spartans' most valauble player on the diamond as a junior and senior... also named first-team all-Northeastern Conference those two seasons and was a second-team pick as a sophomore... as a senior helped team to sectional championship and district finals appearance... was second-team all-county in basketball as a junior and was a first-team all-county pick in football as a senior.
