2011: Emerged as team's ace for second straight year  as a sophomore... pitched in 11 games, making 10 starts... went 4-4 with a 5.51 ERA and three complete games... led team in five categories including wins, starts, complete games, innings (50.2) and strikeouts (49)... threw the best performance of his career to date in a 2-1 win over Wayne State on 5/7.  Allowed just one run on one hit in complete-game gem (seven innings).  Struck out a career-high-tying nine batters in winning series opener... earned GLIAC Pitcher of the Week honors following that outing... allowed just two earned runs in six innings with seven strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to Saginaw Valley State on 4/30... gave up three earned runs in six innings to gain first win of season at Pittsburgh-Johnstown on 3/19... pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and just six hitts allowed in a 6-5 win at Findlay on 4/17.  

2010: Pitched in 12 games and made nine starts in his first season of varsity competition... Led the Storm in wins (four), strikeouts (60) and innings pitched (64.1)... posted a 4-3 record with a 4.90 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers... Earned his first two collegiate wins in back-to-back complete game, three run efforts against West Liberty on 3/16 and Urbana on 3/21... credited with the victory against NCAA Div. I Cleveland State 3/28 as he worked 6.1 innings and allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out a career-high nine batters... had seven games with five or more strikeouts... earned his first save with four innings of one-run relief in a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame (Ohio) on 4/21.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a standout at Vermilion High School for four years as a pitcher and corner infielder... named Lorain County Player of the Year and all-state as a senior... twice named to all-county and all-district teams... as a junior helped Sailors to first West Shore Conference crown in 37 years... named Southern Collegiate Baseball League's most valuable pitcher during the summer... posted a 4-0 record with a 1.19 ERA and 47 strikeouts for Carolina Stingers... was also selected to SCBL All-Star Game, earning the win in relief for the south team
