Hannah Roscoe To Lead New Storm Dance Team

(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – Director of Athletics Kelley Kish has announced Hannah Roscoe as the head coach of the dance team which Lake Erie College will be adding for the start of the 2019-2020 season. She will also serve as the athletics academic success coordinator at Lake Erie College.

"In establishing both of these positions for the first time In our department, we had an idea of the strengths and skill set we wanted the selected candidate to have," said Director Kish. "Hannah is a perfect fit and exceeds those initial standards with her wealth of experience within higher education and dance. Our student-athletes across all 19 NCAA sports will be better because of her commitment to LEC student-athletes reaching their academic goals."

Roscoe brings a wealth of experience which includes 14 years of dance at all levels with Artistry in Motion (Sharon's School of Dance), based in Twinsburg, Ohio. The dance team will be used to support and cheer on the Storm athletic teams.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to join the athletic department at Lake Erie College as the athletics academic success coordinator and head coach of dance," said Roscoe. "I am thrilled to begin working alongside the coaches and staff to support academic success for the student-athletes, as well as grow the new dance team. The impact of the new programming will reach many students and continue to inspire them to achieve their fullest potential."

She joins the Storm after working at Kent State University as a graduate assistant where she is currently finishing up her master's degree in higher education administration and student affairs. While there she also had multiple graduate internships within athletics, student affairs, and student services.

"This is an exciting day for Storm Athletics and our fans. The LEC Dance Team will enhance our game environment and family-friendly fan experience at all events," added Kish. "Adding a group of hard-working and talented students who can use our sporting events as a chance to show their passion for dance is going to have an impact on Storm Pride across the board!"

Roscoe completed her undergraduate work at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications studies. While there she was a volunteer student athletic trainer for the football team and was an intern with the admissions office.

Roscoe is a native of Ohio and will be starting her position this month.
