PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Two members of the Lake Erie College track and field and cross country teams, senior Kyle Griffin (Painesville, Ohio/Harvey/Capital) and junior Devin O'Neill (Concord, Ohio/Mentor), were named to the Capital One Academic All-District IV first team in the College Division as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

As first team selections, both are now eligible for the national Academic All-America teams which will be announced in late-June.
Griffin is a three-year member of the Storm after transferring in from Capital University. He currently holds a 3.88 GPA as a mathematics major. Griffin holds fastest time in Lake Erie history in 10,000 meter run (33:07.04), second in 3000m (9:14.69) and third fastest in 1500m (4:20.34). In indoors, the senior is second in Lake Erie history in mile run (4:45.27), 3000m run (9:10.53) and 5000m run (15:43. 31). Griffin missed this cross country season with injury after being Lake Erie's top cross country runner in 2009.
O'Neill is a two-year member of the Lake Erie track and field and cross country teams. The junior holds second fastest time in Lake Erie history in 1500m outdoor (4:20.34) and third fastest times in 1000m run (2:47.79) and indoor mile run (4:46.06). O' Neill is a double major in English and Psychology and serves as a writing assistant on campus. He plans to attend graduate school for English and will graduate in less than four years.
The Storm track and field team is coming off their best season in program history finishing 14th in Division II during outdoor season and 16th during indoor season.
