Wright, Crews Lead Lake Erie Women at Wilmington Fall Classic

PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Sophomore Allison Wright (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) ran a season-best 21:03 to place 67th overall on Friday (Oct. 16) at the annual Wilmington College Fall Classic in Wilmington, Ohio. Classmate Carrie Crews (Chardon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) also posted a season best time of 21:24, finishing in 87th place of 244 runners.

As a team the Storm finished 16th of 25 teams.

Rachel Nypaver (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) ran a 21:42 and sister Sandra Nypaver (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) finished in 21:47. Freshman Leah Jones (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights) was at 22:26 and sophomore Kyle Herron (Perry, Ohio/Perry) rounded out the squad at 22:38.

Sophomore Rachel Hanzak (Cedar Grove, N.C./Orange) also competed, finishing in 24:47, but did not factor in the scoring.

The Storm will be idle until competing in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional meet for the first time on Nov. 7 at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
