The Storm is coming off last season's 26-9 record in which they captured the East division, and a second consecutive semifinal appearance in the conference tournament.

First year head coach Kyle Peck says, "Training camp is off to a great start. It's always nice to receive recognition from the G-MAC. There's a large group of teams that can contend for the title (G-MAC). There will be no games off in our conference season."

He will be supported by Assistant Coach Gabby Woods, returning for her second season on the Storm volleyball coaching staff.

Alexis Thomas (Sr.) will return for the Storm, as well as Crystal Kendrose (Sr), Hallie Zumack (Jr), Morgan Briggs (Jr), and Courtney Rosebrook (So).

Thomas compiled 697 assists in 116 sets for the Storm, for an average of 6.01 assists per set. Thomas finished the regular season ninth in average for assists per set. The junior setter was second on the Storm with 26 service aces and 330 digs on defense. Alexis set a season-high with 31 assists against Davis & Elkins and Ashland. Thomas reached a season-best 22 digs on defense against Drury and #21 Wheeling Jesuit. She received All-Second Team G-MAC honors in 2017

Kendrose, Zumack, Briggs, and Rosebrook appeared in all 35 matches for the Storm in 2017. Their in-game experience and leadership will complement the six incoming freshman looking to make their mark on the 2018 season.

Lake Erie Storm Volleyball starts their season against Gannon University on August 24 at 5:00pm in the Daemon Volleyball Classic at Daemon College in Buffalo, New York.
