Volleyball Concludes Regular Season With Walsh & Malone (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team will conclude the 2017 regular season with two home matches at the Osborne Center. The Storm will host the Walsh University Cavaliers on Friday (Nov. 10) for Senior Night at 7:00 PM. The regular season will conclude on Saturday (Nov. 11) with an 11:00 AM match versus Malone.

"We are excited to host Walsh and Malone this weekend, and honor out two seniors: Bethany Fisher and Sidney Fletcher," said Storm head coach Kevin Foeman. "Every match is another opportunity for us to build and improve as a team, and I know the team and the coaches are looking forward to competing against these two fantastic programs."

Senior Day: The Storm will honor the program's two seniors prior to Friday's match. The two seniors are Bethany Fisher and Sidney Fletcher.

Storm Report: Lake Erie swept Ursuline 3-0 in the Storm's last contest on Saturday at home. The Storm enters the weekend with a 23-8 overall record. Lake Erie leads the East Division with a 13-3 conference record.

Opposition Position: Walsh is 19-9 overall and 12-4 in the G-MAC this season following a 3-0 win vs. Davis & Elkins. Malone is 17-11 overall with an 11-5 conference mark, leading into a match with Ursuline on Friday.

Series History: Lake Erie has won three straight matches against Walsh, including a match earlier this season. The Cavaliers hold a 3-5 series advantage. The Pioneers won the first matchup this season against the Storm.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will open the 2017 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament with a quarterfinal on Thursday (Nov. 16).
