Storm Prepped for Midwest Region Crossover (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team will travel to Aurora, Illinois this weekend to take part in the 2017 Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover at the Great Lakes Center. The Crossover will feature 36 programs, including 15 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) teams, 12 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and nine Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) schools.

The Storm will take on three GLVC schools this weekend. On Friday (Oct. 13), Lake Erie will play the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds at 11:30 AM CT and the University of Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars at 5:30 PM CT. The Storm will conclude the weekend with the Drury University Panthers at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday (Oct. 14).

"The crossover is a tournament we always look forward to when we begin each season," said Storm head coach Kevin Foeman. "A chance to face off against other top programs from the GLVC and GLIAC is extremely exciting and the environment makes it so fun for the team. Playing alongside 7 other courts under one roof, with some of the best players and teams in the country all in one facility, is such a great experience for the team. We are looking forward to playing all 3 teams, as they are well coached and seeing a lot of success this year. It should be fun and great volleyball and another chance to improve as a team and program."
