Storm Makes GLIAC Playoff Push at Ashland & Tiffin (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio-The Lake Erie College volleyball team will begin the final three games of the regular season on the road starting Friday (Nov. 4). The Storm will travel to Ashland on Friday and Tiffin on Saturday (Nov. 5).

 Storm Report: Lake Erie defeated Ohio Dominican 3-1 on Tuesday (Nov. 1) on Senior Night at home. The Storm currently have a 17-13 overall record and 8-5 GLIAC record.

GLIAC Playoff Push: With three conference matches to go, Lake Erie is currently in a three-way tie for fifth place in the GLIAC standings. With an 8-5 record, Lake Erie is tied with Ashland and Michigan Tech. The top eight teams earn a spot in the GLIAC Tournament.

Series History: Lake Erie snapped an eleven match losing streak last season when the Storm defeated Ashland 3-2 for their first win in history over the Eagles. The Storm currently has a 1-8 record against the Tiffin Dragons, with the first win coming last season.

Opposition Position: Ashland enters the weekend with a seven match winning streak along with a 17-8 overall record. The Eagles are even with the Storm at 8-5 in the conference. Tiffin is 16-11 overall and 6-7 in the GLIAC.

Storm Forecast: The Storm will conclude the regular season with a GLIAC matchup against Walsh University on the road next Friday (Nov. 11).
