Storm To Compete at Central State Tri-Match (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball team will return to action as they travel to Central State for a non-conference tri-match on Tuesday (Oct. 18) night. The Storm will take on Urbana and Central State.

Storm Report: The Storm competed at the Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover in Aurora, Illinois over the weekend. Lake Erie dropped three matches in five sets over the course of two days. On Friday (Oct. 14), the Storm fell to the University of Indianapolis 3-2. The Storm fell to Truman State and Missouri-St. Louis 3-2 on Saturday (Oct. 15). Lake Erie has an overall record of 12-10 this season.

GLIAC Honorable Mention: Crystal Kedroske (Dexter, Mich. / Dexter) was named GLIAC Honorable Mention for Week 7 of the season. In four matches for the Storm, Kedroske totaled 51 kills and 55 digs.

Series History: The Storm defeated Central State 3-0 last year in the only matchup between the two schools. Urbana and Lake Erie have faced off five times since 2009 and the Blue Knights hold a 4-1 advantage in the series.

Opposition Position: Urbana is 11-11 for the 2016 season after a 3-1 win over Concord on Saturday (Oct. 15). Central State enters the tri-match with a 2-17 overall record. The Marauders fell to Ursuline College 3-0 last week.

Storm Forecast: The Storm will travel to Michigan for two matchups with Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan this weekend.
