Volleyball Falls in Home Match vs. Wayne State

PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Freshman Molly Richardson (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) had seven kills and sophomore Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) added six but Lake Erie College fell, 3-0, to Wayne State University in a GLIAC match at the Jerome T. Osborne Center in Painesville, Ohio. 

The Warriors took the match by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-21.  The final set of the match was the best for the Storm as they hit .107.  There were 10 ties and six lead changes in the final set with Lake Erie holding a 16-14 advantage before a Wayne State run ended the match. 

Sophomore Stephanie Minotas (Cleveland, Ohio/Trinity) had 11 assists for the Storm and junior Lauren Bogatay (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) added 10.  Senior Lauren Johnson was Lake Erie's defensive leader with 11 digs. 

For Wayne State, current GLIAC Player of the Week Katarzyna Sak had an incredible match with 17 kills in 22 attacks. 

The Storm is back in action on Sunday for their final home match of the season against Finday at 2:00 p.m.  The match will be Senior Day as Lake Erie honors three seniors.
