Lake Erie Hits Three-Game Match Season-High for Digs

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (October 21, 2008) - Lake Erie College lost at home Tuesday night to Walsh University in three games by the scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-12. The Storm set a three-game match season high with 80 digs. Sophomore hitter Jessica Scott (Streetsboro, Ohio/Streetsboro) totaled a personal best for the season with 21 digs to lead the team in the category.

Freshman defensive specialist Brittany Raggets (Eastlake, Ohio/VASJ) added 14 digs. Senior hitter Tiffany Farner (West Salem, Ohio/Northwestern) and freshman hitter Michelle Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) combined for 16 of the team's 33 total kills with nine and seven, respectively. Freshman setter Lauren Bogatay (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) had 15 assists on the night as freshman Krista O'Connor (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) had 12 assists.

Lake Erie (4-17) hosts Findlay on Friday at 7 p.m.
