PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College women's tennis team and Tiffin University entered Sunday's (Sept. 4) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) matchup with each having dropped their first two contests of the seasons, so one team was going to pick up its first victory of the season. That team turned out to be the visitors as Tiffin emerged with a 9-0 win over the Storm at the Mentor Heisley Racquet Club.
The Dragons (1-2, 1-2 GLIAC) won all four contested singles matches and easily took both doubles matches. In the day's best match, sophomore Jordyn Parrigan (Shelby, Ohio/Shelby) took Taylor Cooper to three sets before suffering a close defeat, 3-6, 6-1, 10-8 (TB).
The Storm (0-3, 0-3 GLIAC) opens a three-day road trip next weekend on Friday, Sept. 9, at Lake Superior State University.
