The Lake Erie women's soccer team is coming off a 5-12-1 record in 2017, and made an appearance for the first time in the G-MAC quarterfinals.

Returning for the Storm in 2018 are seniors Deanna Hill, Chelsey Warlick, and Bret Pauff to hold it down on the defensive side of the field. They each started all 18 games for Lake Erie women's soccer in 2017.

On offense, Kristen Redwood (Jr), Leah Polifrone (So), and Carley Kandel (So) will return to the squad, as well. Redwood and Polifrone each started all 18 games in 2017. Kandel is coming off a freshman season in which she also played all 18 games, and scored 8 goals in her first season of collegiate soccer.

Head coach Irenna Lawrence says, "We're really excited for the upcoming season. The girls have worked really hard over the summer. It's been great to get into the preseason and we've had some great training sessions so far. There are some freshman that will make an immediate impact which will complement our returners. We are working on making this year better than last!"

The 2018 women's soccer season will open up for a home exhibition match against Baldwin Wallace at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 21. Their season and home opener will take place on Friday, August 31 against Carlow at 4pm.
