Storm Wrestling Adds One in Early Signing Period

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—The Lake Erie College wrestling team will add one more student-athlete starting in the fall of 2016.

Blake Glogouski will be joining the Storm from New Paris High School in Fairfield, Indiana. 

"Blake is a model example of the type of recruit we want at Lake Erie College," Said Storm Head Coach Kevin Hoogenboom. "He has an incredible work ethic, academics and the wrestling ability to help our team compete at a high level."  

Blake is the brother of current Storm 125-pounder Forrest Glogouski.

"I am excited that he is joining his brother Forrest," said Hoogenboom. "Those two have wrestled together their whole lives. I think it will benefit everyone involved." 

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: three-time letter winner and one-year captain… three-time conference champion, three-time sectional champion, one regional championship, two-time regional runner-up, one semi-state runner-up… two-time state qualifier, placing fifth as a junior… five-time ISWA State Champ and seven-time  ISWA Runner-up… USA All-American fifth-place finish at Iowa Nationals… AAU Gold All-American in 2014… District All -Star Division at Disney… currently holds high school record for most pins, season take downs, season Wins, season team points scored… three-time scholar athlete award and Junior Academic All-State Honorable Mention…. also a three-time letter winner in football… one-year captain… four-time scholar athlete award… letter winner in Track and Field and scholar athlete award winner… son of Dan and Janet Glogouski.
