Storm Wrestling Seeks Second GLIAC Title (PREVIEW)

STORM LOOKS FOR GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: The Lake Erie College wrestling team looks to capture their second-straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship Friday night (Feb. 13) when they travel to the University of Findlay.  The Storm is currently 2-0 in GLIAC duals this season, defeating Ashland University and Tiffin University. 

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm won five-of-nine contested bouts but fell at 14th-ranked Kutztown University 21-16.  Chayse Csongedi had a major decision while Ian Ross, Nick Boggs, Matt Vandermeer and Tyler Hughes won by decision.

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm and the Oilers have split their first four meetings.  The last faced each other in the GLIAC duals last year, with the Storm picking up a 31-13 win.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Oilers are 9-5 this season in duals.  However, they fell in their most recent dual against Ashland, 19-18.  149-pounder Nick Goebel is currently ranked sixth in the country.

FORECAST: The Storm is back in action in two weeks at the Super Region-II Championships.
