Wrestling Adds Second Wave of Recruits

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – After signing 13 student-athletes earlier this summer, Lake Erie College head wrestling coach Kevin Hoogenboom has put the wraps on his second recruiting class with the addition of seven talented grapplers to the Storm program.

"There's a very good mix of experience and talent with these seven wrestlers," Hoogenboom said. "We still have a young squad and this will add leadership to our team and increase the competition for starting spots."

Four of the recruits are transfers and three are straight from the high school ranks.  Four are in the middle weight classes, an area where the Storm lacked depth in its inaugural season.

Lake Erie opens its second season on Nov. 5 with its annual Black vs. Green Preview Night and begins competition on Nov. 12 at the University of Mount Union Invitational.
