Sixth-Ranked Mountain Cats Too Much for Storm Wrestlers

Lake Erie College (2-4) wrestling dropped a dual match against sixth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown (4-0) in the SportsCenter Arena in Johnstown, Pa. 

The Mountain Cats took all eight contest matches as the perennial national power was victorious, 48-0. 

The closest contest came at 165-lbs, as sophomore Andrew Gasber (Madison, Ohio/Madison) took UPJ's Zach Lundgren to overtime in a 12-10 loss.  Also putting forth a strong match was freshman Kevin Brunner (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) at 133-lbs.  Brunner had some success in a high scoring match but ultimately fell, 17-13, to the Mountain Cats' Ryan Link, currently ranked third nationally in the weight class.

The Storm is in action next on Tuesday, Jan. 11 when they travel to Mount St. Joseph's for a dual match and then return home a week from today to face rival Notre Dame (Ohio) on Jan 14 at 7:00 p.m.
