STORM TRAVELS TO TIFFIN FOR GLIAC CONTEST: The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team looks for their third straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) win as they travel to Tiffin University Thursday (April 17).
LAST TIME OUT: The Storm downed Alderson-Broaddus University 21-1 Sunday (April 14). Mallory Quiggle led the Storm with six goals and two assists. Breana Moser netted goals. Hana-Abu Kwiek had three goals, three assists while Emma Miller had three goals, two assists. Ashriel West tallied four points on two goals, two assist. Delaney Semancik had one goal, two assists and Kayla Bohn rounded out scoring for the Storm. Amanda Getto picked up the win in net, making four saves.
OPPOSITION POSITION: The Dragons are 5-9 overall this season and 3-2 in GLIAC play. The 2013 GLIAC runner-ups fell to Grand Valley State University 15-9 in their previous outing. Emily Roussel leads Tiffin with 64 points and 51 goals. Her and Gina Abulone have 13 assists apiece. Jessica Bombard has made 187 saves in net.
SERIES HISTORY: The Storm leads the overall series 3-2. However, the Dragons won the most recent matchup, defeating the Storm 13-11 in the GLIAC semifinals last year.
STORM REPORT:Hana Abu-Kwiek leads the Storm with 43 points, 34 goals, 31 groundballs and 49 draw controls. Ashriel West has tallied 39 points on 27 goals and a team-high 12 assists. Samantha Gryba is third on the team with 17 goals. Mallory Quiggle is second on the team with 11 assists in addition to her 13 goals. Emma Miller has scored 16 goals while Breana Moser has 10. Katie Holden is second on the team with 27 groundballs while making 94 saves.
FORECAST: The Storm play their final home game of the season Saturday (April 19) against the University of Findlay.
