
LOCK HAVEN, Pa.—The Lake Erie College women's lacrosse team was unsuccessful against sixth-ranked Lock Haven University, falling 20-2 on the road Thursday (March 27).
Hana Abu-Kwiek (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) scored the Storm's two goals. Her first goal came on a free position shot. She also had one draw control. Deianira Smith, Amanda Getto (Medina, Ohio/Medina) and Kayla Corey (Leesburg, Va./Heritage) picked up two groundballs apiece. Samantha Gryba (Okotoks, Ont./National Sport Academy) had two draw controls and caused one turnover. Emma Miller (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) recorded two shots while Kayla Bohn (Louisville, Ky./Eastern), Breana Moser (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna) and Ashriel West (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville Dewitt) had one each. Bohn also had a draw control. Skylar Hunter (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and West had one groundball apiece. Katie Holden (Whitby, Ont./Anderson C.V.I.) led the Storm with four groundballs in addition to her seven saves.
The Bald Eagles had a slight edge in groundballs, 14-12. Both teams committed 16 turnovers.
The Storm is back in action Saturday (March 29), traveling to Dowling College.
