PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College women's golf team shot 414 in the final round of the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Saturday (April 23) at the Country Club of Ashland in Ashland, Ohio.
The Storm finished the tournament in eighth place with a final score of 1205 (+341), ten shots behind seventh place Lake Superior State.
The best final round for Lake Erie came from Junior Amanda Blasko (Concord, Ohio/Mentor) with a 97 on the par 72 score. Blasko finished with a third-day total of 294.
Sophomore Megan Lundblad (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) shot 104 in the final round and finished as Lake Erie's medalist with 292 strokes. Other final round scores for the Storm were sophomore Stephanie Morgan (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) with 105, freshman Taylor Wilson (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) at 108 and freshman Stephanie Koval (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) with 109.
