Record-Low Round for Blasko Highlights Storm's Performance at ODU Give 18 Fore Cancer

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College women's golf team placed seventh at the Give 18 for Cancer Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, at Cumberland Trail Golf Course in Pataskala, Ohio.

Over the two day event, the Storm totaled a team score of 749 (384-365), a team record low.

Sophomore Megan Lundblad (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor)was the low scorer for Lake Erie, tying for 24th place with a career low 36-hole score of 88-89-177.

Junior Amanda Blasko (Concord, Ohio/Mentor) was just one struck behind at 97-81-178. After a rough first day, she responded with an LEC record-low 81 on day two. She finished tied for 26th place.

Sophomore Stephanie Morgan (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Monroe Falls)  was next at 100-94-194, placing 35th.  Freshmen Taylor Wilson (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) and Stephanie Koval (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) rounded out the Storm scoring contingent.

Lake Erie is next in action April 15-16 at the Northwood University Invitational, it's final tune-up before the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship April 23-24.
